On solution is contact the re-seller and get a replacement but I'm hoping for a simple fix before that. I've worked on quite a few of these over the years and cycled the power on many of them, never has they required a firmware update straight after. The OS comes with over 35,000 packages: pre-compiled software bundled in a nice format for easy installation on your Raspberry Pi. I'm beginning to thing it might be an issue with the main unit of the D-Command. Raspberry Pi OS is a free operating system based on Debian, optimised for the Raspberry Pi hardware, and is the recommended operating system for normal use on a Raspberry Pi. It then happened again after a power cut. Then I took it back to the machine room and plugged in the custom cable and it all worked. As with the flagship large-format ICON D-Control console, D-Command utilizes Pro ToolsHD Accel as its DSP mix en. However, I moved the X-Mon to the studio and used the supplied cable, it worked after a few restarts. The Digidesign D-Command tactile work surface is the newest member of the ICON family, packing amazing control and ICON-exclusive Pro Tools functionality into a medium-format console. But it was made following the exact instructions from Avid and has been working absolutely fine until now. Now, I am using a custom cable for the X-Mon connection because the machine room is too far away to run the supplied cable. I turned everything off, unplugged and re-plugged cables, booted back up, no joy. I checked all the cabling and re-installed PT, (at the advice of the Avid Re-seller), and after a bit of trial and error it all came back on line and has been rock solid for a few months, until.Ī few days ago I cycled the power on the main fader unit of my D-Command and again it lost the X-Mon and kept demanding firmware updates. I was prompted to update the firmware on the D-Command and suddenly the X-Mon was no longer being detected. The first time this happened it was during the update from PT HDX 10.1 to 10.2. Basically I've been experiencing a connection problem between my X-Mon and the D-Command.
